Scrum Master
We are seeking a Scrum Master to facilitate Agile practices and drive high-performance delivery across our engineering teams. The ideal candidate has experience working in complex, cross-functional environments (backend, frontend, mobile, desktop, DevOps), ensuring that teams are empowered, aligned, and continuously improving. You will partner with Product Owners, Developers, and Quality Engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software on time.
Key Requirements
Must-Have
- 4+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software engineering environments.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile frameworks (SAFe/LeSS experience a plus).
- Experience working with distributed systems or real-time, high-concurrency applications.
- Familiarity with engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, cloud deployments (AWS/Kubernetes).
- Proficiency with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant-leadership skills
Nice-to-Have
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM).
- Background in software development, QA, or DevOps (technical understanding to guide discussions).
- Experience in regulated industries (finance, gaming, cybersecurity) with compliance requirements.
- Exposure to distributed teams across multiple geographies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of enabling Agile delivery across multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Guide teams in applying Scrum and Agile principles, ensuring ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) are effective.
- Remove impediments and foster an environment of continuous delivery and improvement.
- Support Product Owners in managing backlogs, priorities, and sprint goals.
- Promote self-organization and accountability within teams.
- Coach developers, testers, and engineers on Agile best practices, DevOps mindset, and collaboration.
- Foster cross-team communication.
- Encourage adoption of engineering excellence (code quality, test automation, CI/CD, definition of done).
- Track and report sprint velocity, burndown charts, throughput, and quality KPIs.
- Facilitate release planning in coordination with Product and Engineering leadership.
- Ensure teams deliver secure, high-performance features aligned with architecture and compliance requirements.
- Identify and address bottlenecks in processes, communication, or tooling.
- Facilitate retrospectives and turn insights into actionable improvements.
- Champion Agile scaling where needed (multiple squads, distributed geographies).
- Serve as a bridge between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure transparency of progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Protect teams from scope creep and distractions, enabling focus on sprint commitments
